Carne Griffiths graduated from Kent Institute of Art and Design in 1995 a year before Nicholas Ramsden (now UCA Canterbury). Carne’s work captures the 'fleeting moment' and has an ephemeral nature. Originally influenced by animation and Da Vinci science drawings, he now experiments and with
a unique marking process with the use of a juxtaposition of expressive washes; using alcohol and tea, and specific linear detail.
